The Design Process
Christie’s objective is to install the perfect garden for you , and to use the design as a means to that end. There are several options to achieve this.
Consultations
We walk through the property with you and discuss weak spots in the landscape and how they will become assets. You are sent plant pictures, Google links and have a flow of alternatives given to you. Decisions for modifications are made from there.
A consultation fee of $75.00 per hour is requested.
A Visualization: Hand Rendered Drawings
The most popular alternative is a simple concept drawing. There is no measuring of the site and only common plant names are used. The plan is accurate to plant count, shape of bed lines, garden accents, stone terraces or walls, motor courts etc. These are 8” by 11” or 11” by 17” and are hand colored. A black and white copy is also provided.
Price range from $200- $350.00.
Computer Assisted Drawings
Christie draws a concept sketch of the design and meets with her draftsperson to measure the site, review the plan and instruct the draftsperson on details.
Plans are drafted, reviewed and edited as needed between Christie and her draftsperson. Plans are mounted and presented to the client by Christie. These range from $400 to $750.00.
