Garden Design Down in Deltaville
Sit on a Stone wall.. Look at the View.. Smell the Flowers
Last fall this client and I discussed a new garden design project: creating a garden at her at Riverhouse like we had done at her house in town.
Although there was wind and rain and snow before we got there…we started and completed this part of the project in 3 days (one of them an overnight).
- We made 2 sets of gray and plum colored “Colonial stone” retaining walls.
- We moved, split and threw away some of her inventory.
- We added Green Velvet boxwoods, Russian sage, Knock Out double pink roses, Little Lime hydrangeas, butterfly bush, hypericum, heliopsis, and blue daze.
All these plants behave themselves by not drying out quickly, getting diseases or flopping as you take a sail or sit by the pool and relax.
Good news for us! We go back in July to work on the back yard that is just 40’ from the water’s edge!
